In the Console Monitor, both the dwl and dwg files show up as Connection= 64, Task=3, Lock Status= not locked, and Log Status= not logged.Ĭan anyone tell me how to remove these files? Actually how to remove the dwl as I'm sure the dwg would then behave normally.
The only attribute flagged for the dwg is 'archive' and for the dwl is 'hidden'. I can delete both the dwg and dwl files, even purge the directory, but as soon as I refresh that window- there it is again! The file then disappeared from the list under Ralph's connection.Įven after this I am unable to delete through the Windows directory. NW (through NoRM-connections and the server Console) showed the file to still be open on Ralph's computer(although it was not) but I had him shut down and cleared his connection. (I think the problem arose because of a problem we were having with a very slow wireless link to an annex office.)
The dwg file is locked because there is an associated dwl file that should have been cleared when the file was closed. When anyone tries to open it, he gets a message that a specific user(Ralph) has it open. I have an AutoCadd file that we cannot delete.
